Exchange Traded Funds, ETFs for short, are investment funds that can be traded continuously on the stock exchange at the current exchange price, just like shares, for example. As a rule, no initial charge is levied, as is the case when purchasing ordinary fund products via the bank or other intermediaries. The price of an ETF unit largely corresponds to a fraction of the fund’s assets as determined by the issuer. Generally, a distinction is made between actively managed funds and passively managed funds.
