Restriction of the permissible share in an investment or asset class or restriction of permissible investment instruments used to manage specific assets. Investment restrictions can concern both the type and quality of the investment vehicles as well as the share that may be invested in certain investment vehicles. The most important investment restrictions are the legal provisions pursuant to Art. 54 ff BVV 2 and the provisions contained in the investment policy statement. If the necessary risk capacity is established and conclusively set out in a report, the legal restrictions do not necessarily have to be complied with (Art. 50 para. 4 BVV 2).
